An infamous name within Night Raven College and one of a pair of twins, Floyd Leech strikes an interesting contrast to his brother as the unpredictable brawn of Mostro Lounge. Always acting on his whims regardless of the circumstances and most criticisms, he's often described by those close to him as a genius despite inspiring a fight or flight response in most of the student body. That is to say, if you see Floyd Leech around, you should clear the area lest he takes an interest in you. Being mostly instinct-driven, Floyd is a massive handful on legs whose integral personality hinges on his completely unreliable mood shifts. One moment he's occupying himself with whatever seems the most entertaining, the next he's completely averse to attending to what isn't living up to his expectations. The fact that his mood is also quick to change without warning, even, tends to be understandably off-putting to most when they can't seem to get him to do what they want. That fickle attitude of his belies a gift that can shine and excel no matter the material, for Floyd complains often about how boring or easy it is to "follow the obvious" when it comes to his class-work (see: class and the way he finds the other students lackluster for the way they can't handle the most basic material). He isn't concerned with note-taking or anything that isn't a spontaneous notion. His primary concern always seems to be enjoying himself, so obviously it's only natural to drop what isn't the least bit entertaining that very second, whether it be dancing, participating in class, or pestering a fellow student with his intimidating frame and behavior. Put simply, he's got more than enough hobbies to keep him busy, but whether or not this free spirit will respond pleasantly is the key issue here. Not at all concerned for proper social etiquette, Floyd is a casual, childish individual who has no qualms about getting up in people's personal space. He'll include them in his shenanigans for better or for worse, often giving out personal, sea-related nicknames without the other's consent. A lot of his behaviors, suspicions, and questions stem from being a merman who's only been walking on land for a little over a year, like in the way he compares even the ceremonial clothing they have to wear to the appearance of several deep-sea fish. There's little in life that'll give pause to Floyd's pursuit when he's got something in his sights, after all, aside from the ever-changing temperament that gives way to a sometimes soul-crushing apathy. The only ones capable of prevailing over his moods when they become particularly off-putting are generally his twin, Jade, and their forever companion Azul to a much lesser extent... and even then, not all that often. From time to time this playful guy who seldom has the self-control to restrain himself can quickly become quite vicious and harsh. It's that violence that outwardly sets him apart from his further cunning and polite twin brother, an attitude to threaten others that comes as second-nature to a spoiled predator out of the water with little to fear. For Floyd, it's only common sense that the best way to get what he wants is by threatening to "squeeze" others, whether he's in a particularly good or bad mood, and it's thanks to this that the majority of students tend to avoid interacting with or opposing him. He's the bouncer and not the contract-maker of Mostro Lounge for good reason, using strength to settle matters no matter the course, whether it be asking for a sale or simply wishing to trade places in an event. Put another way, might makes right in Floyd's world, and nothing thus far has seen fit to change him.
